”We are living in a time where many people are asking themselves, what is truly important, both in my own life and in the life of the planet. Many of the rules and structures that shape our international community are outdated and harmful, and still many of us feel powerless to change them because we don´t have political or economic power.
I think the first step towards creating a better world is maybe to change the way we look at it. What if we see the planet as a living being, what if we see our own life as an animal, uncaged and curious. What if we stop listening to what everyone is telling us to do, and start listening to our own inner voice – maybe things are not as locked and closed as we fear. Maybe we can take back the magic of our own story, and live as free beings on a free planet. Maybe we can find ways to help each other, and invent a new system that secures everyone´s safety and freedom, including the animals and plants and the planet itself. Life is meant to be an adventure, not a measure of success or status. Make sure you´re living your own story, and creating the world you want to live in. And don´t let anything stop you.”

Robin in the Hood
«Robin in the Hood» is a 30 minute short film set in the urban horse community of The Liberties, in Dublin. The film combines documentary, fiction and musical to create a modern version of the old ballad of Robin Hood. This time Robin is an urban horse owner from Dublin, and Marian is a traveling busker. Both feel trapped by an unfair and oppressive economic system, but with the help of Dublin´s inner city horse tribe they try to break out and create a new life for themselves.
The film just won Best Norwegian Short Film at its national premiere at the Bergen International Film Festival in Norway, in October 2025.
The jury's statement: «This year's winner took the jury - and the audience - by surprise, with a world full of originality, musicality, warmth and love. Unlike most things you´ve seen, and with an unconventional approach to economic inequality and what the film’s main characters feel is a dysfunctional system, the film invites the audience to ask questions about the world we live in - and what kind of world we want to live in. The jury got excited about the filmmakers´ inspiring storytelling style, and the extraordinary fusion of fairytale and raw realism, gravity and humor. The award for Best Norwegian Short Film goes to «ROBIN IN THE HOOD»
The film is funded by The Norwegian Film Institute, The Arts Council Norway - Audio & Visual Fund, and The Western Norway Film Commission. Executive producers are Oscar-winning musician Glen Hansard, patron of the arts, Marina Guinness, innovator, entrepreneur and philanthropist Dómhnal Slattery, and the prominent Norwegian investor and businessman Frederik Wilhelm Mohn.
The film is produced by Kristin Vollset of Up Your Hole Productions, John Kaare Hoversholm of Kompendium AS, Edwina Forkin of Zanzibar Films, and Grace Sexton.
